ETIAS- What is it?
ETIAS - European Travel Information and Authorization System
Beginning in the first half of 2025, (rumored to be in the second quarter of the year) over 1.4 billion people from over sixty visa-exempt countries will be required to have an EITAS travel authorization to enter most European countries. ETIAS is not a visa- it is an electronic authorization that allows you to travel to most of Europe. You will still need your passport and other documentation. ETIAS does not replace your passport or a need for one.
